Lawn Gnome

Clara Slopes is obsessed with her yard. In fact, she's won the "Best Yard and Garden" contest at the Senior Garden Centre for five years in a row! That is, until a neighbour returns from a trip with some ceramic lawn gnomes and quickly becomes a rival of Clara's, as her yard mysteriously becomes increasingly more beautiful.

Thia Sterling

Thia Sterling - "Clara Slopes"

Thia is an actor, dancer, singer who was recently seen in Caesar and Loves Labour's Lost in Shakespeare in the Park in Red Deer and is looking forward to the challenge of playing Jacob Marley in Scrooge with Torchlight Theatre this December. As well as stage and film acting, Thia loves to lend her voice to different characters on mic - in this case a radio play. Other selected credits include Wicked Witch of the West in Wizard of Oz with Kimberley Summer Theatre, Mitzi in Crazy for You at Music Theatre Etobicoke and Loretta in Melville Boys with Pelee Island Summer Theatre. In her spare time, you can find her cooking or knitting.


Robert Kirik

Robert Kirik - "Owen Slopes"

A stage actor since 1985, he has appeared in over forty stage productions. Highlights include "Hamlet", "Waiting For Godot" "Death Of A Salesman" "The Trojan Women" "The Lion In Winter" "The Merchant Of Venice" and "One Flew Over The Cockoo's Nest". He has had a great time participating in this fantastic Radio Series. Robert will be seen next as "Patrick Yurkowski" in the feature film "Mayflower ll"

Selected credits: The Only Good Boy (Theatre BSMT); Under Milkwood, It’s a Wonderful Life, Death of a Salesman (Morpheus); The Trojan Women (Urban Curvz); The Savannah Disputation (Fire Exit); A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Romeo and Juliet (Full Circle); Julius Caesar and Love’s Labour’s Lost (Prime Stock); Summer on Fire (Scorpio). Wendy’s solo show, A Woman of a Certain Age™ won “Best Original Script” at the 2013 Calgary One-Act Play Festival, “Best of Fest” at the 2015 Calgary Fringe Festival, and played to sold-out audiences at the 2016 Edmonton Fringe. She thanks Justin for his creativity and hard work in breathing new life into radio plays; and her kids for their undying support. Ava Harvey

Ava Harvey - "Alicia"

Ava Harvey is a born performer. She’s been taking voice lessons since the age of 7 and sings on any stage, big or small. She lists drama as her favourite subject at school, followed closely by English and Leadership. Ava has trained with Company of Rogues Actors’ Studio and recently moved to Vancouver with her family so she can pursue more film and TV opportunities. Ava loved the experience of working with such talented and generous actors for Darkside Drive and looks forward to more voice projects in the future.


Mike Anthony

Mike Anthony - "Officer Poole"

Mike Anthony has been acting off and on for 20 years which includes 3 years of Voice Acting. In addition, he is the director/writer for his own Web Series "The Reapers" that is currently in production. When not Acting, Mike enjoys Video Games, Anime, and playing games like Dungeons and Dragons. He is always on the hunt for the next gig and has been successfully finding lots of work on the Indie Market.
