The Raggedy Man Cometh

Jamie Reed, a young orphan on Mr. Lowrey's farm is charged with getting supplies from town with the new man Mort, or "Raggedy Man" as she calls him. The "Raggedy Man" is, however, more than he appears.

Lara Schmitz

Lara Schmitz - "Jamie Reed"

Lara Schmitz is primarily a theatre artist, who is branching out into voice work and film and TV. Select acting credits include: Much Ado About Nothing (Thou Art Here), Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike (Alberta Theatre Projects), and Time Present (Lunchbox Theatre). Later this season she can be seen in The Hollow (Vertigo Theatre) and Sextet (Verb Theatre), and as the assistant director for All's Well That Ends Well (TSC/OYR High Performance Rodeo). She is the Artistic Associate of Downstage.


Robert Kirik

Robert Kirik - "Mort (Raggedy Man)"

A stage actor since 1985, he has appeared in over forty stage productions. Highlights include "Hamlet", "Waiting For Godot" "Death Of A Salesman" "The Trojan Women" "The Lion In Winter" "The Merchant Of Venice" and "One Flew Over The Cockoo's Nest". He has had a great time participating in this fantastic Radio Series. Robert will be seen next as "Patrick Yurkowski" in the feature film "Mayflower ll"


Griffin Cork

Griffin Cork - "Frank Clayton"

Griffin has been has been working professionally in Theatre, Film, Television and Voice for over 10 years. He is currently attending the University of Alberta in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Acting Conservatory program, and recently completed the D. Michael Dobbin Apprenticeship at Alberta Theatre Projects. He is a co-founder and the Artistic Producer of Hoodlum Theatre, and the Executive Producer of Burning Daylight Media. He was worked with local Calgarian companies like Alberta Theater Projects, Theatre Junction GRAND, The Shakespeare Company and Calgary Young People's Theatre. Griffin can be seen on Heartland (CBC), Hug-O-Gram (Telus Optik) or in his lead role on Galaxy Trek (vTV). He is the voice of Kibaltes on the animated series "Buddy Fight" and is putting out a Spoken Word Poetry Album with Attainable Records in the coming months. Griffin was recently nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award, he was deemed an Arts Champion of Calgary in 2012 by His Worship, Naheed Nenshi, and received the Duval Lang Theatre for Young Audience Emerging Leader Award in 2015.


Chandler Kerr

Chandler Kerr - "Virgil"

Chandler Kerr makes his radio theatre debut with Darkside Drive. He is best known for playing the lead, “Tommy”, in Lewis John Carlino’s famous play, “The Brick & the Rose”. He sung the lead in “Benjamin Calypso” for “Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” in Drumheller where he went to high school. He has studied at Studio 7, 6 Degrees, ToonVox, Actor’s Training Centre and the Company of Rogues. He acted in some local independent projects such as “How To Survive a Zombie Apocalypse in Retail” before landing a part in the popular TV series “Fargo” and “Hell on Wheels.” He recently composed a piano theme for an indie and hopes to use his talent for theatre and film. When not acting, Chandler spends his time helping people earn more income, become debt free and achieve financial independence. He thanks his agent and his audience for a wonderful experience living his major purpose in life.
